Coaching Staff

Ryan is currently a student at The University of Iowa, and previously coached and dove at Naperville North High School in Naperville, IL. Diving runs in his family—both his parents were divers at The University of Iowa. His mother was the first female diver named captain of the University of Iowa Women’s Swimming and Diving Team, and his father is an All-American diver and former Nebraska state champion.

I He started diving at the age of six and continued throughout high school until COVID. This prevented him from competing at state competitions. He has trained under the 2008 Olympic Coach John Wingfield at Ripfest Diving Club in Arcadia, Indiana, and  incorporates many of his philosophies, training techniques, and equipment into his coaching. His methods may seem different from past coaches, but we have seen they are effective.

We have appreciated his tremendous work ethic, energy and advances he has brought to our program.
